Research
I work on radar sensing systems and on what happens when you put them in front of people who are learning. The sensing gives me signals that are rich and hard to read; the teaching gives me a reason to make them legible. Most of my projects live at that seam.
Radar sensing and ML education, 2025 – present
SensDSv2
A desktop application that turns a 60 GHz radar sensor into a machine learning classroom, with live spectrograms, gesture collection, model training, and prediction in one loop a student can run in a single class period.
VR for learning and empathy, 2023 – 2025
Collision Course
A virtual reality experience that teaches concussion awareness by putting the user inside the symptoms rather than describing them.
Broadening participation in computing, 2023 – 2025
CodeBears
A K-12 summer coding camp for underrepresented youth, run across three consecutive summers, and the research on what actually shifted students' sense of belonging in computing.
